    Consists of just one thing?

    Hi,

Can anything consist of just one thing? All dictionary examples suggest that to consist of something means to consist of at least two things. For instance (from Merriam-Webster),
    • Breakfast consisted of cereal, fruit, and orange juice.
    • Coal consists mostly of carbon.
    • His wardrobe consists almost entirely of jeans and T-shirts.
    • The crowd consisted mainly/largely of teenage girls.

Can I say, for instance, that Breakfast consisted of milk only? I know there are much better ways to convey this particular message, but I'd like to know whether something can consist of one thing.

    Thanks,
    nyggus

    Yes, it's possible.
