Is there anything sounds strange in this paragraph?

''That parents comprise an important part of people's life and fate is an absolute fact. Parents' influence on their sons or daughters probably depends on their personality or attitude. Strict parents and tolerant parents are typical examples of kinds of parents. They are different from each other in terms of their effects on the child’s personal freedom and confidence.''

Thanks for your help!

The first sentence is the strangest one. It is a given that our parents are an important influence on our lives. Nobody needs convincing.

Thanks for your answer. If I remove ''absolute'', it will be less strange?

And is there any grammatical error?

I would change "people's life" to "people's lives" to make the first sentence grammatical. However, I still wouldn't use it. That's because I can't make sense out of it. What does it mean, for example, to be an important part of somebody's fate? (I also wouldn't use "absolute fact" there or anywhere else.)

My suggested rewrite:

Our parents are an important influence on us.

Do you plan to discuss the effects of being a strict parent versus being a tolerant parent?

Thanks for your answers. Sorry, I will be more careful.

Yes I plan to discuss the effects of being a strict parent versus being a tolerant parent.
