to learn to play through trial and error than to play by reading the instruction

    Hi,
    which one is correct?

The instructions for playing video games is so obscure that it is much easier to learn to play through trial and error than to play by reading the instruction
    manuals.

Use the first. It uses "to learn to play" followed by "to play" so the structures are parallel.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

Does the following follow the rule of parallel structure? Do we have to use parallel structure in "as well as" , "than" and "rather than"?
    It is so confusing.

The instructions for playing video games is so obscure that it is much easier to learn to play through trial and error than by reading the instruction manuals.
