    plural

The mass media, including television, radio and newspapers, have great influence inshaping people's ideas.

    Why
    are "television" and "radio" singular?

    Re: plural

Media is the plural form of medium. Television is one medium. Radio is one medium. Newspapers is another word for the print medium (singular) which might have been a better word to use in this case.

    Re: plural

That means when it comes to medium,we need to use singular form? E.g. Television is an important medium. And we don't say mass media include televisions and radios?

    Re: plural

And if it is singular, do we need to put an article?

    Re: plural

Hmm... This one is a bit tricky to parse.

That means when it comes to medium, we need to use singular form? Yes.
E.g. Television is an important medium. correct.

And we don't say mass media include televisions and radios?
There's a problem in the way you worded your question. Television as a medium is not countable. Television as in the electronic device you have in your home is countable. I have three televisions in my home. I like to watch television. The same holds for radio/radios. You should not have used the plural forms of these words in your question.

Mass media includes television and radio.

    Re: plural

We need to be clear about how we mean the word. As a broadcast medium, no, we don't use an article. Talking about the device, then we do need to use the article.

I get most of my news from television.
I haven't seen the news today because the television is broken.
