Red face It was the best place I have ever visited.

    Is this sentence grammatically correct?

'It was the best place I have ever visited.'

Re: Is the following sentence grammatically correct?

If the place still exists and/or you haven't visited anywhere better since that visit, I'd use "It is the best place I have ever visited". I'd expect "I had ever visited" at the end if you start with "It was".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
