it was going to be everything you could handle

    Hello everyone,

From the book 99: Stories of the game by Wayne Gretzky.

"You play eighty games in the regular season and you get into a rhythm. As an athlete, you prepare the day before the game in a certain way. You eat properly, sleep, and get ready for the game. But when a Calgary game was on the schedule, you’d start preparing days in advance because you knew it was going to be everything you could handle. Both teams had tough guys, dirty guys, skill guys, and elite goaltending."

Does "it was going to be everything you could handle" mean it would be very difficult to handle, it would be a very difficult game?

    Thank you.

    Yes.
“Every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud, adopts as a last resource pride in the nation to which he belongs; he is ready and happy to defend all its faults and follies tooth and nail, thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.”

    — Arthur Schopenhauer
