When you want to give a short answer to a future perfect tense question e.g. Will you have graduated by 2020? do you say, "yes, I will" or "yes, I will have?" which one? Thanks in advance.

I wonder who would ask such a question. You will more likely hear "Will you graduate by 2020?" or "Will you be graduating by 2020?".

It's a reasonable question. "Yes, I will" or just "Yes" are possible answers. "Yes, I will have" is grammatically correct but not very natural. Oddly, answering "No, I won't" would be very unnatural. You'd have to say simply "No" if that were the right answer.

It's a grammatically correct question but not frequently uttered.
