    Moira complained about bad food

I am wondering if my sentences are grammatically correct.

Moira complained about bad food and unkind personnel in the nursing home to her daughter, who went to speak to the manager. She warned him that if he was going to ignore her mother's complains, she would contact the relevant authorities.

The noun is complaint. Other than that, the grammar is okay. Stylistically it's better to write complained to her daughter about....

Re: Moira complained about bad food

In addition to the corrections mentioned by Tedmc and GoesStation I would add "the" before "food". I would also use "with" instead of "to".

Moira complained about the bad food and unkind personnel in the nursing home to her daughter, who went to speak to the manager. She warned him that if he was going to ignore her mother's complaints, she would bring the matter up with the relevant authorities.
