    make the way of something

I can't find in dictionaries the phrase 'to make the way of something'. Is it idiomatic?
As we grow older, intelligent people have an advantage because they will find ways of making the way of the abilities they have.
If I were a native speaker of English, I would never shut up. :-)

Re: make the way of something

I suspect there was a typo in the original. I think that the word "way" in bold should be "most".

"... because they will find ways of the making the most of the abilities they have." That makes perfect sense, unlike the original.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

As always, englishhobby, you should tell us where you found the quoted sentence.

Yes, I know, but in this case I don't know where it is from - I do some teaching in an online school and this text is part of their course.

I am not a teacher or a native speaker.

And in find ways of the making - does the really need to be used there?

    No - it's an error.
