    Question Questions on pronunciation :)

    I have some difficulty in linkings within these phrases:

    1) AS HE IS
    2) OF THE

    I'd like You very much to depict them using phonetic alphabet. I'm interested in british standard pronunciation (of normal, fast speed).

    These are which I produce mechanically, having learnt to speak in general. Yet I'm not sure.

    AS HE IS -> əz ɪ z
    OF THE -> əv ə (ɪ) / əv də (dɪ) ?

    With the second, I honestly find it easier to pronounce the 'th' than to change it to 'd' because the two sounds in the words are close together.

    This would sound like you're saying "as is".
