I am also one of the member/the other member to join xyz group.

    Which one is correct?
    1. I am also one of the member to join xyz group.
    2. I am also one of the other member to join xyz group.
Should I add "a" before xyz group?

    Neither is correct.

I am a member of the Women's Institute.
I am also a member of the Boys' Brigade.

(I get some funny looks in this town.)

It depends on the name of the group/organisation. I take it your group is not actually called 'XYZ'.

I added 'the' before the two organisations I named in my reply, but I wouldn't have if I'd said 'I'm a member of Greenpeace and Amnesty International'.

When should and shouldn't I add "the" before an organization?

If you don't understand post #4, somebody else will have to try to explain it.

Re: I am also one of the member/the other member to join xyz group.

If the official name of the organisation includes the word "The", you need to include it.

"The Women's Institute" is the official name so you would say "I have joined The Women's Institute".
"Greenpeace" is the official name so you would say "I have joined Greenpeace".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
