    Sounds strange?

    Hi,

Can I simply say 'Sounds strange?' instead of 'Does it sound strange?'

    Thanks.

Does that sound strange? In casual conversation this may be shortened to Sound strange?

"Sound strange?" is fine but it must be said with a rising tone if you want it to sound like a question.

    Re: Sounds strange?

    Either one is possible.

"Sound strange?" would be a shortened colloquial way of saying "Does it sound strange?"
"Sounds strange?" would be a shortened colloquial way of saying "Is it because it sounds strange?" or similar.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Re: Sounds strange?

"Sound strange?" is short for "Does it sound strange?"

Keep in mind that it's very informal spoken English.
