    considered to be/as

    I found this:
    --------
Adam is considered to be a good teacher. — Adam is thought to be a good teacher.

Adam is considered as a good teacher. — We have treated Adam as if he is a good teacher.

    -------
After I read it, I still cannot understand what’s the difference between the two sentences.

Would you be so kind as to tell me in a clearer or easier way?
    Thanks!

PS I also posted the same question on this, but all of your answers are unique to me. Hope we can discuss with each other. Thank you.
    I am not a teacher.

    Re: considered to be/as

The second sentence is not good. The only reason you found it is that someone asked it, and another person felt the need to answer it. They would normally mean the same thing, but the answerer intuited a possible, but unlikely, difference.

PS: You should give little credence to these websites where anyone can answer, and it's a few years between answers. Unless there is some conversation (such as here), there's no quality checking of the answers, and frankly, many of these answers are unhelpful and occasionally ludicrous.

    Re: considered to be/as

In my opinion, "considered as" is incorrect.

"Adam is considered to be a good teacher." = "Adam is considered a good teacher."
