    Re: have graduated or graduated

Since you use "in 2008", it can only be in past tense. Also use "graduate from my Master's program" or "graduate with a Master's degree".

    I graduated with a master's (degree) from X University in 2008.
I am not a teacher or a native speaker.

    Re: have graduated or graduated

We usually say I received my master's degree, at least in the United States.
    I am not a teacher.

Just to be clear, the other suggestions are totally fine in writing.

    Re: have graduated or graduated

I don't think receiving a master's degree is usually described as "graduating". I could be mistaken though.
    I am not a teacher.

    Re: have graduated or graduated

My understanding is you apply for graduation and submit your dissertation in order to receive your graduate degree. It may or may not be technically correct but people still say "I'm graduating from my Ph.D program this summer."

    Re: have graduated or graduated

So I just confirmed with a friend of mine who does have a Master's degree that graduating from a Master's program and recieving a Master's degree are essentially the same thing and how you describe it depends on your preference. What sounds natural though apparently depends on your experience.

    Re: have graduated or graduated

Interesting because we say "graduate from high school" all the time. Some people may say "graduate high school" which I don't think is proper English but people use it and it seems to be spreading.
