    surface cut vs surface wound

    Hello.

I'm wondering if the sentences below are correct and natural. If "yes", is there any big difference in meaning between them?

    1. It is just a surface cut.

    2. It is just a surface wound.

You may also hear such injuries referred to as 'flesh wounds'.
