    Is the sentence correct in grammar?

    The speaker appears trying to say "defese spending (spent by mlitary members) accounts for 2 percent of GDP..."

    Am I on the right track?

    So false:


    "In 2014, members commited to having defense spending account for 2 percent of each natons's GDP by 2024."(Trump) (The text is in the video)

    No. He is saying that members have made a commitment (have promised) to make the level of spending on defense 2% of their GDP by the year 2024.
