    Backup reasons/Optional

Are the below sentences grammatically correct? Please guide me to write it in a better way.

    1. Please provide me more Cvs for backup reasons.
    2. Please provide me more Cvs for optional.

(I mean, I received one Cv today. This candidate will be interviewed first. If approved only, his salary package will be finalized. So, I want more Cvs in my hand for next option if he fails).

    Re: Backup reasons/Optional

The abbreviation of curriculum vitæ is "CV". Use "CVs" for the plural. Other than the capitalization error, sentence 1 is grammatically correct. Sentence 2 is not.

I'd write Please send me the CVs of several more candidates.
    I am not a teacher.

    Re: Backup reasons/Optional

If you need to use the word "option", you can say "Please send more CVs so I have more options [if I need them]". Using "optional" does not work at all.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
