    "Authoritarianism translates as ...

"Authoritarianism translates as repression in Hong Kong, Xinjiang and Tibet, where the Communist regime sees an added ‘nationalist’ factor."

In the above sentence, please tell me where I should keep the comma to include all the three -- Hongkong, Xinjiang and Tibet -- and where should I place it to include only Tibet.
P.S. Please correct any errors above.

Let's dispense with the political content. Consider this:

'I dislike cabbage, spinach and okra — especially okra, which I think is slimy.'

Sorry for that. I got the doubt while reading a random article and asked it as a question by quoting it verbatim.

    Please consider this:

"Amazon passes through Brazil, Peru and Columbia, where the climate is humid."

Where the comma should be placed when the intention is (i) to say only Columbia has humid climate, and (ii) to say all the three countries have humid climate.
P.S. Please correct any errors above.

The sentence as it stands is ambiguous. It needs more than a comma placement to make the two meanings clear.

You need to say "The Amazon" if you're talking about the river. When I saw "Amazon" on its own at the start of your sentence, I assumed you were talking about the online store.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
