    The last or last.

Let's say, player A lost to me on Sunday. Player B, C,D lost to me on monday, tuesday, Wednesday.

Again, I have to play with player A. And before playing with player A I provoke him saying:
1.Do you remember the last match?
    2. Do you remember last match?
    Which one should I say?

    Re: The last or last.

Please note that I have changed your thread title.

'The next or next' was not relevant.

What you wrote was not a question so it should have ended with a full stop (period).

You should use the first. The article is required.

Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

That's the first. But you should say "our last match" since there are many players involved but it's not absolutely necessary.

I'm sure emsr2d2 meant to write "the first" instead of "the second".

I've changed it to first, but I prefer our last match.

    Re: The last or last.

One more question raising in my mind.
Let's say, I beat player A the other day and since then, I haven't beat anyone unlike the question I asked before. In that context, should I say?
    1. Do you remember the last match?
    2. Do you remember last match?

I know I can say" do you remember our last match" . But, I would like to know apart from this.

    Re: The last or last.

#1 is correct; #2 is not.

Your questions to A make no reference to your other matches on the intervening days. If I were A, I would probably neither know nor care whether you won or lost them.

    Re: The last or last.

It's very colloquial. You're asking about an experience that occurred during or throughout the last match, or something special about it.
So, in the sense of "Do you remember last time/summer/night?", you can say, "Do you remember last holidays/match?"
It might not work in all varieties of English.

Crossed with Rover. I'm assuming that there was some special reason that A would remember.
