In the past two weeks, I have been looking for .... I have not found or did not find

I am going to make up an example below.

(ex) In the past two weeks, I have been looking for an affordable television in the local stores, but I have not found ( or did not find) a good price.

I have discussed my example with my non-native English speaking friends. They all think that either tense is acceptable. If you use "have not found", you are still looking for a good price. If you use "did not find", you stopped looking. Please give me your opinion. Thanks a lot.

Re: In the past two weeks, I have been looking for .... I have not found or did not f

Thank you, Piscean. May I ask one more question about my post before I leave it? Suppose that I found a good price. I have revised it below.

(revised) I had been looking for an affordable television in the local stores in the past two weeks, and I found a good price.

Because I am not looking anymore, is it correct to use the past perfect (had been looking) followed by the simple past (found)?

Please help me again. Thanks again.

I think it is correct. You stopped looking for it when you found it.
