    "Give green stamps with..."

I came across with the following sentence on a song: "Don't give green stamps with my emotions, don't have a cut price soul..."

I searched on the web but didn't find a definition that makes sense to the above-mentioned sentence. Can anyone help me?

    Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to the forum.

I don't understand it there either, but bear in mind that lyrics frequently don't make sense and they often don't follow grammatical rules.

This is the only example of "green stamps" I'm aware of.

By the way, at the start of your post, you should have used "I came across the following ...", not "I came across with the following ...".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

Green Stamps were a sales promotion at some North American supermarket chains, say forty to sixty years ago. When you bought your food and things, you received sheets of Green Stamps to paste into a booklet. When your booklet was full you could redeem it for free merchandise.

I leave it to you to interpret the lyrics in light of that.

Exactly. You beat me to the punch bowl.

For bonus points: There's was a picture of a map on each S&H Green Stamp. What was it a map of?

    Operators are standing by . . . .

I'm remembering an outline, in green, of the continental United States. But I'm not very sure about it.

Actually, depending on what you count as the continent, you might not even call it part of the continent at all.

Any other contestents? The winner gets a Chevy. (A picture of a Chevy, that is.)
