Word choice (educate/ bring up our children to become socially responsible citizens)

    Which word is suitable?

We, as parents, should aim to educate or bring up our children to become socially responsible citizens.

I suppose maybe "bring up" is better, as "educate" often refers to what teachers at schools or universities do while "bring up" relates to what parents do.
    English is my great passion.

I agree that "bring up" is the better choice there. You could use "educate" in something like "We should educate our children in social responsibility".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
