...South Korean phone makerís new handset is best for you in 2017.

Our Samsung Galaxy S8 vs LG G6 comparison is here, to give you all the info you need to help you decide which South Korean phone maker’s new handset is best for you in 2017.
Sure, they look different in terms of design, and the internal specs aren't too similar, but the dimensions, weight, and many key features are exactly the same. Android phone buyers have a tough choice on their hands.

The above is a review of the two phones.

Is 'handset' a synonym for 'cellphone"?

    Thanks.

Have you looked it up in the dictionary first?

    Thanks, teechar,

Yes, I have referred to dictionaries. However, the 'handset' used by the review confuses me. it is a review on mobile phones. Thay's why I thought that handset was a synonym for mobile phone.

Which dictionaries did you consult, and what did you find that confused you?

Thanks, teechar, and sorry for posting the following after a lapse of 12 days.

I have consulted Cambridge Dictionary. It does not define 'handset' as cell phone. Therefore, I am inclined to think that the cell phone manufacturers have used 'handset' wrongly to mean 'cell phone'. Am I correct to think so?

    Thanks, teechar.

I have got the name of the dictionary wrong. My memory failed me. I missed referring to Cambridge Dictionary. However, the inks are as follows. If I am not mistaken, the definitions do not relate to a cell phone.
