    It's time we go/went

"It's time we..... .If we don't leave now, we'll miss the bus."

Why "went" is true, "go" is not?

Either go or went is correct. I don't know whether the statement is true or not because I don't know where the speaker is or what time the bus is coming.
    I am not a teacher.

Why is "went" is true correct but "go" is not?
"It's time we go" would be very unnatural in BrE. You would hear either "It's time we went", "It's time we left" or "It's time for us to go".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
