as deep, as strong, or as important as

I don't know which one is correct when we have more than one items in the "as as" structure.

Today's relationships among family members, friends or relative are not as deep, as strong, or as important as they used to be/were.

I prefer the second construction. The repetition of "as" four times in quick succession in the first is clunky even though it's not wrong.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

Re: as deep, as strong, or as important as

It should be relatives, and I would put today after it.

You wrote "relative" (singular) in both sentences. It should be "relatives" (plural).

    I got it.

Relationships among family members, friends or relatives today are not
as deep, strong, or important as they used to be/were.

Re: as deep, as strong, or as important as

Why did you change "Today's" to "today" and move it in your new version? I preferred the original. I prefer "used to be" at the end, by the way.

    That was what Tdol suggested.

I put "today" after "relatives". Was it unnatural?

Sorry, I hadn't noticed Tdol's suggested revision. It's fine, of course.

That's OK emsr2d2. You could simply igonore my changes, and didn't waste your time asking the reason, but you payed attention to it. This shows that you are an amazing teacher here and the learners are important to you. Thanks for all of your helpful help and guide.
