    The parent company

    Hello all,
I don't understand the bold part.

The parent company has a roster of blue-chip clients.

How much effort are you making to find out definitions before you ask here? If you had Googled "definition of parent company" (without the quotation marks), you would have got this helpful page of results.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Re: The parent company

A company that owns another company is a parent company. Alphabet owns Google; Alphabet is Google's parent company, and Google is a subsidiary of Alphabet.
    I am not a teacher.

OK, but if you look for a definition and only one comes up (as in this case), then it's obviously the one. In future, please show us that you have made attempts to solve the problem yourself (provide links to online definitions etc) and explain why you are confused about which definition is the one you need.

    Note my corrections above.
