    Talking Usage of other than

Hi teachers, are these sentences correct?

1- I don't have a good friend other than you.

2- I don't have an option other than to go/going there.

    Re: Usage of other than

They're OK, but I'd write them as below - more natural.

    1. "I don't have
any good friends other than you."
    2. "I don't have any option other than to go/going there." (Either of your variants will do.)

    How about 'options'?
I'm not a teacher. Please feel free to correct me. :)

Does this sentence mean the same?

    'I don't have a good friend except/but you'

Yes, but it's not natural. That's why I suggested something different.

No. That's not natural. And if you don't have any other option, then it follows that you don't have any other options.

    Re: Usage of other than

More naturally, I'd say "You're my only good friend".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
