    Bob saw his ex viewing

I am wondering if my sentence is grammatically correct.

Bob saw his ex viewing a house for sale near his home, and could not bear the thought of her living in the same street.

    It's OK.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

"in" is fine in BrE. Conversely, "living on the street" in BrE means you're homeless.

I live in the same street as my aunt.
When I was 16, I was living on the street.

That's the same in American English, but we live on a (specific) street. I used to live on Steeles Avenue West.

What, then, does "living in the street" mean (in RobertJ's post, #3)?

It's another way to say "homeless". On the street is, I think, much more common.

    I would remove that comma.

I prefer it without the comma.
