Please tell me why these following sentences are incorrect:
1. Such my surprise was that I couldn't speak.
Such was my surprise (that) I couldn't speak.
I couldn't speak - such was my surprise.
2. So good was she, that she took the exam a year early.
The comma is unnecessary, but the sentence is not incorrect. It is, however, VERY formal. I suggest: She was so good (that) she took the exam a year early.
