I saw a free runner. That person came running towards a wall put his hands on the wall throwing himself in the air. He flipped for a few times in the air and landed on his feet on the ground.

Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

Was the runner a male or a female?

I'm guessing he's a male, because of the words "...put his hands..." and "He flipped a few times...". Hence there's no reason to use "that person", when "he" would suffice.

Then why did you use "the person" instead of "he" at the start of the second sentence?

There's no need to apologise, tufguy!
I thought it might have been because you initially couldn't tell the runner's gender from a distance. Even in such cases, you can get around that problem. For example,
I saw a free runner sprinting towards ... etc.
    Or
I saw a free runner in town the other day. The runner came ... etc.
