the word deserve and deserves for your " "

Hi, I'm a bit confused when to use "deserve" and "deserves" if I'm using your "something".

Eg: your dog deserve/(s) better and so do you

    Welcome to the forum.

The use of "your" has nothing to do with it. It's one dog and the word "it" could be used to replace "Your dog" so it takes the third person singular:

    The dog deserves better ...
    My dog deserves better ...
    This dog deserves better ...

If there were more than one dog, the word "they" could be used to replace "XXX dogs" so it would take the third person plural:

    The dogs deserve better ...
    My dogs deserve better ...
    These dogs deserve better ...
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

And for the plural version of the original sentence, write Your dogs deserve better and so do you.
