In an attack of stage fright

I am wondering if my sentences are grammatically correct. I have tried to use "stage fright."

In an attack of stage fright, the well-known actor stammered and blushed. The audience began to murmur and whisper, which only deepened his embarrassment.

The grammar and the rest of the sentence are fine.

    teechar,
I have to tell you that I don't understand your question. I tried to use "stage fright" but I didn't know how to begin my sentence, and therefore I started with "in an attack." Do you know some other phrase or a word I could use with the similar meaning? Or should I use "the" like "in the attack..."

Re: In an attack of stage fright

For instance, if you were writing an article/paper about stage fright, your focus might be the attacks or episodes.

    In the above, consider:

The well-known actor stammered and blushed with stage fright.
