and that/this/it makes you feel happy.

I often don't know how I can use proper prepositons, especially choosing between that and this in sentences. Could you please help me?

"For example, when you practice extreme sports, your brain releases endorphins as a result of adrenaline rush, and that/this/it makes you feel happy."

Those are not prepositions but pronouns.
I think any of them could be used, depending on how you want to say it.
I am not a teacher or a native speaker.

Oh! What a mistake! Thanks. I actually meant "pronouns". According to what Emsr2d2 said, I shouldn't change the main thread; otherwise the post #2 and #3 won't make sense any more.

So, it makes no difference in using any of them in sentence above.

I agree with tedmc that those can all work in that context.

[There is no such thing as proper prepositions!]
It was translation from my own language.
    Thanks teechar.
Is following OK too with keeping the meaning?
"For example, when you practice extreme sports, your brain releases endorphins as a result of the adrenaline rush, which makes you feel happy."

Yes, the new one is okay too.

Do you know why we say "the following"?

Oh. Sorry! I think because we have a sentence.

Re: and that/this/it makes you feel happy.

You don't need to be sorry!
You're correct. It's because, e.g., "sentence" (or "text") is implied.
