Clive goes regularly to a race track

I am wondering if my sentences are grammatically correct.

Clive goes regularly to a race track to watch sports cars races. He enjoys the excitement, the roar of the powerful engines, the squeal of brakes and the smell of burning tyres.

It's grammatically OK. Write Clive often goes to the race track for a more natural feel. In this case we use the definite article even if the track hasn't been mentioned previously; it's a form we use for habitual activities: Sue goes to the opera; Alex goes to the races; Jerry watches the fights.

"Goes to the racetrack to watch sports car races" feels redundant.
Clive is a fan of auto racing and often goes to the track to watch.
Clive often goes to the track to watch sports car racing.

    Something like that.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
