    Think short story

    Hi,

Consider this sentence from Susan M. Tiberghien's "One Year to a Writing Life":

When we think short story, we think character and action.

It's not the first time I've come across the construction "think sth". In general, I think I understand the sentence, but I might be missing some hidden nuance. Is there anything in such a construction I should be aware of? I read this sentence as something like "When we think about short story, we think about character and action". Is that all? Or is there something more in it?

    Thanks,
    nyggus

    Re: Think short story

    That's basically it.
When we think X means When we think about the concept X.
