    in vs. studying in

    Hi,

    1. Which class is your daughter in?
    2. Which class is your daughter studying in?

    3. Which class is your daughter studying in the school?
    4. Which class is your daughter studying in in the school?

Are all these sentences correct, specifically the 4th one?

    Thanks.

    Re: in vs. studying in

Number 1 is correct and natural. None of the studyings are needed at all.

Having said that, I understand your grammatical point. If studying was needed, so would be the two "in"s in number 4.
