    usage of 'the'

    Can I use 'the' like the following expressions? 1. I want to have the everything. 2. three cakes of the cheese 3. the three cakes of cheese.

    "The" is used with nouns. "Everything" is not a noun.

    "The" is a definite article, meaning it refers to something specific or mentioned before.
    I am not a teacher or a native speaker.

    'evertything' is a pronoun. Can't we use 'the' in front of pronoun? In many sentences of the websites, I saw many 'the everything'.

    I'm sorry. I made a mistake. 'everything' is a pronoun. < example >: I put the everything in the bag.

    I think 'everything' in such examples functions as a modifier rather than a pronoun.

    Then, how about these expressions? (1)the three cups of water / (2) three cups of the water I'm not good at English. Please understand me that I ask too many questions about the same topic. I am very confused at the articles.
