Micheal and Clive had been bosom friends

Would you please correct the mistakes in my sentences?

Michael and Clive had been bosom friends until Michael caught Clive kissing his wife. Michael didn't shout our say anything, which for Clive was worse than if he had been. He left with his tail between his legs and never dared to talk to Michael again.

    Piscean,
I am only wondering about the comma after "legs". Is it mandatory, and why, or could it be omitted?

It's hard to see this, but Piscean struck out that comma.

    GoesStation,

But I didn't use it in my sentence. I thought he added it and wondered why.

I don't think it is a clause because there is no subject after the conjunction.
    I am not a teacher.
