    The clock

    Hello everyone!
    I don't know why the "clock" in fragment below has the "the", please help me for understanding that.

    With particular points on the clock.

    Is it "clock" or "lock"?
    Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    'The' is used before 'clock' because it refers to a specific type of clock—the 24-hour clock.
