    Is "Don't take my words negative" correct?

    Hi,

    You need to use the adverb form 'negatively', rather than the adjective form 'negative'. Adjectives give more information about nouns, and adverbs about verbs ('take' in your example).

    It's more common to say, "Don't take my words the wrong way." It means the same.

    In BrE, we would probably say "Don't take this the wrong way but ..." (going on to say whatever it is that might be taken the wrong way).
    Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
