"Will" or "would":which one I should use in the following sentence?

1- Hey John, if you are given an option to choose between tea and coffee, which one would/will you prefer?

    Re: "Will" or "would"

Are at the beginning demands will at the end. Were and would are more typical, though are and will are possible - but the natural verb at the end would be choose.

Note the correct way to ask your question.
