1: I couldn't find the FB profile for your older brother, John. It's not a question.
2: Tom, you need to look after all the other kids because you are the oldest one.
3: Please look for my book in your office. It's not a question.
I have tried to deduce what you mean.

Sentences 1 and 3 are not questions. If they ended with periods ("full stops" in BrE), they'd be OK.

Replace "look over" with watch and sentence 2 will be OK. You could remove one without changing the meaning.

They're both OK in BrE.

There's nothing to correct. Use oldest in number 2.

Hi,

Is the following sentence correct? Thank you.
Of what use is the language and words when we cannot even relate to the ideas and emotions the words capture.

In post #5 I was told not to use "that" in the following sentence.
Could you please tell me that which one is more natural?

In the past I was always using "that" in such constructions. Could you please guide me how I could avoid this mistake of using "that" in such sentences? Thank you.

I never checked my profile. I made this account years ago. Is there something wrong with it? I see that it needs few updates.

Hi,

Could you please help me to correct the sentence below? Thank you.

I think that you should take him (dog) into/in the sun so he gets dried quickly and gets some warm.

Please start a new thread for this unrelated question (incorporating 'dog' into the text rather than putting it in parentheses/brackets).
