    baby step as a verb

    Hello

Suppose someone you know is making very slooooooow progress, for instance, in making good and delicious meals.

Could I say "He is baby stepping in the Italian cuisine" rather than "He is making baby steps ..."

    What is your opinion?

    Thank you

Re: baby step as a verb

Your example sentence doesn't work for me. And you already have a perfectly good sentence in:

He is making baby steps toward learning how to cook Italian.

Re: baby step as a verb

I heard it on an American TV channel Wellbeing Network today, so I thought it was properly used.

It's easy to create new verbs in English. Most such creations don't last, though.
