catch somebody/oneself doing something or find somebody/oneself doing something

    Hello

Do the following questions mean the same?

Before I know it, I find myself picking on skin on my fingers (they look as if they were pecked at by a.hen).

Before I know it, I catch myself picking on skin on my fingers.

    What do you think?

    Thank you

I think they mean more or less the same. (I think you should phrase the parenthetical expression as a separate sentence.)
