1. My class will be ended at 2 pm.

2. My class will end at 2 pm.

May I know which sentence is correct?

Thanks.

In theory, either could be used in the right context. However, more natural would be:

My class ends at 2 PM.

I thought "Will be ended" should be used as "class" will not conduct by itself that I should use passive voice.

Thanks.

There's no need for the passive. The passive could be used if the ending were not normal- someone came in and closed the class early, for instance.

Ju, this is the third of your threads that I have moved from "Teaching English" to "Ask a Teacher". Please remember that the "Teaching English" section is for teachers and trainee teachers to ask other teachers for help with actual teaching.

Sorry, I don't get it. Did I write to the wrong page. I always click "ask a teacher".

I think you're misreading the name of the section when you choose it. I have moved this thread, the one called "Dedicated" and the one called "Does the school have assembly today?" from the "Teaching English" section.

I'm terribly sorry about that. I'll be careful next time.
To confirm, I should click "ask a teacher". Am I right?

Thanks.
