problem with the use of cause structure legalizing drugs

Some claim that legalizing drugs could cause

    a) drug trade to collapse as they thrive better in the underground market

    b) dealers lose substantial amounts of profit

    c) more people to have got addicted to harmful substances

    I know " cause sb/sth to do sth" structure but I never saw b option.Why Is "b" correct and why "a" and "c" false?I don't understand.

None of the options given works. Are you sure you've transcribed the question correctly? Specifically, is there a "to" missing from option "b"?

Could you also tell us where you came across that question?

Are you sure you haven't missed a "the" from option a)? There should be a full stop at the end of all three possible endings.

    Where is this question from?
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

it is a question taken from a test book. I haven't mistyped and the correct answer is b according to the book. I will be careful while writing here.

None of the answers are correct as written. B would be correct with to before lose and a final period ("full stop" in BrE).
    I am not a teacher.

    a. "Some claim that legalizing drugs could cause the drug trade to collapse, as they thrive better in the underground market."
This is wrong. There's no evidence that the drug market would collapse if it were made legal. (Assuming 'they' means "drug trades/markets".)

    c. "Some claim that legalizing drugs could cause more people to become addicted to harmful substances."
This is true, in my opinion. b. is also true, as given above.

I've had to change the sentences a bit. The concepts are almost as impenetrable as the grammar, and require a bit of guessing. Was there a comprehension paragraph that goes with these questions?
