    After a massive earthquake

I am wondering if my sentence is grammatically correct.

After a massive earthquake destroyed the majority of homes in his neighbourhood, Michael shoved great generosity and opened his home for a half dozen families in need.

He showed great generosity. It's more natural to open one's home to someone.

Do you say "opened his heart "to" or for"?

Is it correct to write this:

John went to church and opened his heart to the vicar.

    Re: After a massive earthquake

I'd say "the majority of the homes".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Yes, it's correct with "to".
