    the studied phenomenon/the phenomenon studied

    Hi,

    Consider these two sentences:

    1. It all depends on how much we know about the studied phenomenon.
    2. It all depends on how much we know about the phenomenon studied.

I see both these structures used in academic writing, the latter slightly more often. Is any of them better?

    Thanks,
    nyggus

nyggus, you have been a member long enough to know that if it hadn't been correct teechar would have said so.

I have changed your thread title to match your question.
