Steve asked his wife if she would like

I am wondering if my sentences are grammatically correct.

Steve asked his wife if she would like to go to Paris on holiday. Karin replied she would rather stay at home and explore some local attractions.

    Yes.
I'm not a teacher. I speak American English. I've tutored writing at the University of Southern Maine and have done a good deal of copy editing and writing, occasionally for publication.

'At' can be omitted because 'home' can be an adverb.
    I am not a teacher.
