Are there some 'online' greetings and ways to say good-bye? (I need them for my online lessons.) I use the same ones as in real life, but, perhaps, there are some that include the idea of internet communication. Something like "See you online" (of my own creation).

C U later

I don't recommend you teach your students this kind of textspeak/chatlish as part of their lessons. You can show them some examples but make sure they are aware that they are not to be used in standard English writing, and certainly not in classes, tests or exams.

If you're being informal, you can start with Hi! or Hey! or the person's first name.

I usually just end with my first name or initials.

Is the question about spoken or written greetings?

Didn't think of that. Where do people use spoken online greetings? Skype? Youtube?

When I read "online lessons", I just assumed Skype or similar. Maybe wrongly.

Then just say hi and bye the way you would at a live meeting.

I asked because I know this German "Aufviederhoerung", so I thought a similar greeting could exist in English.

Are you sure that's the correct spelling in German? I've just tried Google Translate (and normal Google) and got nothing. I even changed the "v" to a "w" (as in "auf wiedersehen") but with no luck.

That makes more sense. So if "auf Wiedersehen" is "See you soon", "auf Wiederhören" is presumably "Hear from you later".
